God is Love!
What do we mean when we say that "God is Love"? How do those words impact us and our lives? I've been thinking of this ... last weekend our church had their Ladies Retreat and I attended ... our weekend teaching was about "Loving Well" taught by Beth Moore.Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 John 4:8 (ESV)
God is Love. I read this in a commentary and it was thought provoking."It has been well observed that, although God is holy, just, righteous, etc., he is never called holiness, justice, etc., in the abstract, as he is here called Love. This seems to be the essence of the Divine nature, and all other attributes to be only modifications of this." Adam Clarke's Commentary on the BibleGod is Love, this is the very core of His attributes, everything that He does is because of His love. Even the "bad"? Well, maybe that's why the rain falls on the good and the bad, because God cannot do evil. As I realize God's love, and am filled with His love I can, because of His love for me, love those around me. I can love the hard to love through Him, He helps me love!

The Simple Things ...
It's March ... and in my life there are certain things that I group with this time of year! I guess I usually think of this in February but when it is, it is ...Pioneer Days!No, not the reenactment of the old times, but a time when farmers can go to my brother's house and pick up their first load of Pioneer Seed Corn for the year, plus get a discount. (Did I mention that Pioneer is the best seed to plant? If I didn't I should because it is)
I wasn't there this year, but I was craving the food, and the drink! Green Pioneer Drink! Yum!!
You really don't know what you're missing! 
It's yummy!!!! 
Sloppy Joe. Macaroni Salad. Seven Layer Salad. Sugar Cookies w/ Variety Numbers like ... 55V45 and so forth.
A memory that is forever ingrained in my mind as good times. When my Dad was still alive I remember opening up the doors to our house, I remember the faces of customers that I helped deliver seed to with my Daddy. Busy days. Happy Days.

I feel like I'm in a haze ... I know that I'm where God wants me to be, but how productive am I for the Kingdom?? Lord, give me the desire to follow harder after you.

It's a brand new year ... life goes fast, is it really going to be 10 years this fall since my Daddy went to heaven? I really don't live on the farm anymore. I really was blessed to graduate from SMBI. I'm going to be a quarter of a century old come August.
As I reflect ... I'm am blessed is a great family, we had the most amazing time together the weekend after Christmas, the first time we siblings were all together in three years even though it was only for a short time. I had my end of year therapy session with my three dear friends. *grins*. Wherever God leads I will follow, I'm ready for something new!
A Verse ... O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - Isaiah 25:1 ESV
My God is faithful ... that is what He has brought to my mind as I look back over the past year/years ... always!

It's Not About Me

A living example of God's continued FAITHFULNESS!! Hoping that God will continue to CHANGE and FORM me into what he has in mind!! Praising God through all the tough times he brings my way!! Worshiping God for WHO HE IS, not what He does for me!!
